Spirit Week volleyball tournament serves up an ace

The annual Spirit Week volleyball tournament was held today, November 19, from 4 pm to 6 pm in the DiBart gym. With Mr. CJ Davis, the Coordinator of Student Activities, as the referee, the event was a success. The tournament was two rounds of which the second was best of three games. The seniors swept both the girls’ and boys’ events, but not without a fight from the other classes. The freshman boys led by Eric Zaun (’11), Jonathan Silverstone (’11) and Steven Spiegler (’11) showed some heart, but went winless and ended the afternoon in last with a 0-2 reco

Juniors retake Spirit Week lead after crab soccer and tug-of-war

After letting the lead slip following a mediocre performance in the volleyball competition, the juniors took back the overall spirit week lead, by coming in first place in the crab soccer event and picking up second place finishes in both guys and girls tug-of-war for a grand total of 450 points on the night. The seniors, who were grasping to small lead coming into the competition, only gained a total of 350 points on the night, thus dropping to second place in the overall standings.
