East students participate in Black Out Friday

On Friday, November 20 East students dressed up in all black to support “blacking out cancer,” sophomore class President Maddy Vogel (’18) said.

East students participated in the black out; the freshmen came in first, in second place the seniors, in third place the sophomores and in last, the juniors.

The dress up day supported the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF), a non-profit organization that helps to enrich the lives of teenagers with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Overall the majority of East students participated, and it was a fantastic turn out. This spirit week dress up day showed East’s support for “blacking out” cancer.
