The Cherry Hill East girls basketball team took down Gateway High School 44–18 on Feb. 17, 2026 in the Camden County Tournament, advancing to the quarterfinals and improving to 13–12 on the season. East started hot, with Maya Morgan (‘28) knocking down three three-pointers in the first half. She finished with 14 points, sharing the team lead with Michelle Le (‘26). Prior to tipoff, East’s chapter of Morgan’s Message addressed the crowd and shared the club’s mission: to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health in athletics. The organization was founded in memory of Morgan Rodgers and encourages student-athletes to prioritize their mental well-being. Overall, the Cougars showed how much they’ve grown this season, taking control against a strong Gateway team. With the quarterfinals ahead, East is playing some of its best basketball at the right time.
