Sophomores transform cafeteria into an island paradise

Although it was postponed because of the snowflake, the sophomores were able to delay their flower pick-ups and hair appointments for one day and came into East tonight looking great and garnished with leis for the sophomore cotillion.

Everyone loved the Hawaiian theme, enjoying the virgin strawberry daiquiris and margaritas and attempting to hula dance.

“I really felt like I was in Hawaii. Aloha,” said Lokesh Shah (’15).

Jeff Braun (’15) agrees with Shah, really enjoying the island taste. “I’ve never had more fun in my life,” he said, “the strawberry daiquiris were exquisite, however the mozzarella sticks were surprisingly a little dry,” said Braun.

Students of all grades enjoyed dancing to the music of DJ Jack.

“The music was poppin’,” said Mollie Taylor (’14).

“I think he should have played Beyoncé’s “Put a Ring on It” instead of making all of those ring announcements,” joked Brielle Baker (’13).

Over all the night was a blast for all grades, and can be commemorated by the silly pictures taken in the photo booth for years to come.
