Students from all four grade levels hurried into the Dibart Gym for this year’s spirit week pep rally. As the gym filled up, the marching band blasted the large space with powerful contemporary music and a strong drumline. The cheerleaders also performed while students walked in, performing various routines and stunts.

The homecoming Representatives were the first to be honored at today’s event. For the freshman class, the freshman representative was Anaya Colon (’19), escorted by Liam Vasey (’19). Maddie Levin (’18), escorted by Jonathan Calabrese (’18), represented the sophomore class. The junior class selected Genesis Jean Baptiste (’17) as its homecoming representative, escorted by Zach Padersky (‘17). Finally, Charlotte Montgomery (’16) and Cassidy Rosen-Swell (’16), escorted by Jon Rosen (’16) and Lee Rosen Swell (’16) respectively, served as homecoming representatives for the graduating senior class.

All-Conference athletes and Character Education students also were honored at the pep rally.

In the faculty-student game of Musical Chairs, the final round was a face-off between previous two-time champion, Mr. Greg Gagliardi and Mrs. Genene Barnes. In the end, Barnes claimed victory.

To conclude the pep rally, Mr. Charles Davis announced the final results of the 2015-2016 School Year Spirit Week. In a major upset, the junior class placed last, followed by the sophomore class. The freshman class received 2nd place, and the senior class finished with a victorious 1st place ranking. Overall, this year each grade level was able to bring in more canned food donations than ever before.
