Moore Bagels has reopened after moving locations to a larger and more modern shop in Marlton. While they upgrade their decorations and drink menu, they bring the same delicious recipes and happy memories of their previous location, which was in the same shopping center as their current store. They now offer new sandwiches, pastries, and most notably, drink options. With a new bagel oven and state-of-the-art juicers and coffee machines, there’s no limit to what Moore Bagels can achieve.
With an opportunity to start anew, Pat Moore, who has been the owner of Moore Bagels for ten years, has gone with a more rustic feel. The tables and floor are made of dark wood, giving it a sleek and nostalgic farmhouse feel. Moore said that he wanted a sharp contrast from the tight and compact vibe of the old location.
Pat Moore also says that construction was the hardest challenge in moving locations. He wanted to make sure everything was registered, safe, and effective, so a lot of paperwork and organization were required. He says that “the construction took a little bit of time, but it was all worth it now”, and he loves seeing all his customers smile when they notice new structural elements added in the bagel shop. Originally a police officer, Pat Moore is glad that he made the career change to crafting bagels. He says he “loves working for [himself] and being with the community every day”, and he appreciates every moment he is able to spend helping others. Moore loves watching groups of friends coming together and sharing bagels, and appreciates knowing when his bagels have made people form lifelong bonds. He takes pride in creating genuine connections with both customers and employees, and has made some of his best memories at his store. In fact, one of their best-selling sandwiches, The Nitwit, was created through his and his employees’ joking around and laughing. Little did they know that the combination of pork roll, egg & cheese, and a hashbrown would become one of the most famous attractions of Moore Bagels.
Now, for the food. Moore Bagels has a large variety of options, but my dad and I decided to go with the classics: some of their most well-known bagels. We tried the plain and everything bagels, which were both flavorful and very finely crafted. They were $1.60 each, which was very affordable. There were dozens of hungry customers, but the service was very good and the line took only a few minutes. We noticed their drink bar was very popular, as many of the customers were enjoying the new options that were added to the menu, like lattes and a variety of juices. I can confidently say that their bagels were some of the best I’ve ever had. They were soft, flavorful, and delicious.
Overall, my experience at Moore Bagels was great. All of the employees were friendly and seemed happy to be satisfying customers. Their drink bar was very impressive, and was an exponential upgrade from their old drink menu at their previous location. All of the customers seemed very happy with their food and drinks, and enjoyed the hard work that the employees put into crafting their bagels. Moore Bagels is a tremendous spot to get a quality meal, drink delicious beverages, and hang out with friends.
