Just Salad, a “use me and reuse me” chain that has over 100 stores in the US, opened its environmentally friendly restaurant in Cherry Hill, NJ, on August 25th, 2025. Cherry Hill already has so many healthy dining options, but what makes this store stand out is the way they are able to prioritize sustainability and good-quality food without sacrificing one for the other. The chain is also a certified B-Corporation, meaning they are certified as having a commitment to achieving a positive environmental impact and adhering to the highest standards of sustainability.
Just Salad commits to sustainable practices through using reusable bowls, carbon labeling the menu, creating a custom use-and-return bowl system, completing a corporate greenhouse gas inventory, and reducing select ingredient carbon footprints by 50%-230% with regenerative and plant-based sourcing.
Overall, Just Salad goes above and beyond to minimize its impact on the environment. The chain takes sustainability seriously and serves as a model for how other restaurants can prioritize eco-friendly practices.
Now let’s dig into the food. Regardless of the name, Just Salad is anything but just Salad. The menu has a variety of meals, including market plates, warm bowls, wraps, smoothies, soups, and a special menu for kids. The dressings are all homemade and super fresh, making each one the perfect addition to any meal. Additionally, the store provides the option to make-your-own salads, warm-bowls, or wraps with a variety of ingredients to choose from. For those who value a dish’s nutritional content, there is a simple way to find what’s in your meal and here’s your hint: it’s right on the menu!

However, the variety of food and environmental initiatives isn’t the only reason this store stands out—the food itself is excellent. From my personal experience, it tastes fresh, healthy, and is surprisingly affordable. I ordered a make-your-own warm bowl, and my friend ordered a make-your-own salad. Both meals were delicious, and the dressing was outstanding. I would definitely order from there again and try another item on the menu, because so far, nothing has disappointed!
If this seems like your type of food, be sure to visit anytime from September 15 to 21 to take advantage of their Grand Opening deals to help promote the restaurant and sustainability!
