Sophia Liang

Sophia Liang, Eastside Editor-In-Chief

She enjoys long books, strong tea, and all-you-can-eat sushi. Known affectionately as the Mom Friend of her group, she is always well-stocked with a supply of Band-Aids, extra pencils, and responsible advice. She hopes to be a doctor or engineer in the future but also wouldn’t turn down an offer to be a contestant on the Great British Bake Off. When she’s not busy catching up on sleep, she can be found playing tennis (Go Cougars!), re-listening to the entire Hardcore History podcast series, or timidly asking strangers at the mall if she can pet their dog.

Sophia tries recreational reading before bed

Sophia Liang, Eastside Editor in Chief
January 20, 2019

A stalwart poplar bookcase towers beside my bed, standing guard each night as I fall asleep. Its shelves groan with the weight of cracked spines, crinkled pages and thoughts scribbled into margins — a breathing record of my seventeen-years-and-counting...

Ah, spring break. Most of us have long been counting down the days until March 30, but when it finally arrives, the sheer number of things to do around the community can be intimidating. With so many possibilities and so little time, it’s helpful to...

New Club at East Promotes Political Discussion

Sophia Liang, Eastside Staff
November 17, 2016

Amidst political scandals, Twitter wars, and debate debacles, at least one positive thing has come out of the 2016 presidential election— Craig Robinson (’19)’s passion for politics. This election cycle piqued Robinson’s interest so much that...
