Accomplishment: On Sunday, February 8, 2009, Njoku set a meet record at the South Jersey Group 4 Sectionals at the John Bennett Complex in Toms River, NJ. Njoku won the event with a jump of 6-4, which bettered the previous high jump record for this meet of 6-2 by James Eggers, who set the record last year as a member of the Eastern indoor track team. With his win, Njoku qualified for the indoor track state championships.
