Athlete: Arielle Kitey (’10)

Sport: Varsity Softball

Accomplishment: Kitey led the Cougar softball team to two wins in their first two games. On April 1st, East won 11-8 versus Pennsauken High School in an 11 inning game. Normally, games are only seven innings, but this game went into extra innings. Kitey was the winning pitcher and also helped her own cause by hitting a double. Then on April 8th, Kitey was once again the winning pitcher for East, when East beat Haddon Township 7-1. The Cougar softball team is currently 2-0 and look to win their third game when the play Camden Catholic on April 14th.
