Officers choose Spirit Week theme

Eastside Editorial Board

Officers and advisors from each class government met after school today to brainstorm and select themes for this year’s Spirit Week.  The original list contained 30 ideas but was narrowed down to five an hour later.

Each class was then able to vote for its first, second and third choice, which produced an overall tie for first between government agencies and Sesame Street.  Book series, random dictionary words and fictitious commercial  characters rounded out the top five.

After the classes discussed the top two ideas, government agencies came out victorious.  Each class has until Monday to determine its specific agency within that theme.
