- Tony Romo vs. WAS- Romo has had a lot of success against all defenses he has faced this season. Washington normally has a good secondary but they are shaken up a little bit. Romo has a good support with Owens , and Witten
- Drew Brees vs. SF- Brees should explode this week. 49ers haven’t been particularly good against the pass and Brees will pass it a lot in this one. The Saints will come out of the box firing but he may lose some stats in garbage time as they try to run out the clock.
- Jay Cutler @ KC- Let’s just put it this way. If Atlanta can throw all over them, what do you think the high-powered Broncos are going to do? KC has very weak corners and mediocre safeties. They may shut down Scheffler to an extent but Royal and Marshall will have their way with that defense.
- Philip Rivers @ OAK- This could be a bust or boom for Rivers. Rivers has been great so far but Oakland can really turn it on or off with no in-between. The secondary talent wise is great in Oakland but the Chargers may just be too tough and Rivers will put solid numbers up.
- Aaron Rodgers @ TB- The Bucs were 27th against the pass after playing the Bears and Falcons. Well with that said, expect Rodgers to have a field day. Jennings should be able to get free as Rodgers’ go-to guy and GB should win the battle of the Bays.
- LaDainian Tomlinson @ OAK- LT looked like he is bouncing back last week against a decent Jets run defense. Oakland 20 is very bad against the run this year and LT, given he is healthy for and throughout the game, should exploit them like he did last year (199 yds in 1 of the 2 games against them last year)
- Adrian Peterson @ Ten- This is a brutal matchup as Tennessee is a top 3 run defense that can be very physical. Haynesworth vs. Hutchinson should be an interesting matchup as Hutch tries to block for Peterson. Steve Slaton got over 100 yds against them last week which is a good sign so we will see if an injured Peterson can repeat that performance.
- Brian Westbrook @ CHI- He may or may not play. If he does, he is the catalyst for the Eagles offense so don’t doubt him reaching the end zone at least once.
- Steven Jackson vs. BUF- The Rams are in disarray and Buffalo coming to town doesn’t make it easier. Jackson will be used a lot=2 0as new starting QB, Trent Green, will rely on the run to ease himself into the passing game. Jackson could score but if not, he wont produce numbers since his yards wont be up in this game.
- Marion Barber vs. WAS- Barber does split carries with Felix Jones but he gets most of the carries including the goal-line carries. Expect Barber to take advantage of the goal-line carries as he makes Washington pay at least once.
- Terrell Owens vs. WAS- Owens has found ways to burn defenses and this should be no different. Washington’s secondary i s banged up and Owens wants to keep his streak of good games going and will.
- Andre Johnson @ JAX- It doesn’t get easier for the struggling Texans when Jacksonville comes to town. On a brighter note, Houston has a good history against Jacksonville and Johnson may find a big play opportunity even if Schaub is on his back half the game.
- Larry Fitzgerald @ NYJ- Arizona struggled against Washington last week as a team, but Fitzgerald still got over 100 yards and a TD against them. Fitzgerald is a reliable fantasy player that should continue to do so this week.
- Brandon Marshall @ KC- Marshall will be up against who? Yeah that’s right, not much. Marshall should have his way and maybe he can break the reception record and go over 20 in this game against Kansas City.
- Greg Jennings @ TB- As I said above about Rodgers, Jennings shou ld be able to break free once and finally reach the end zone. Jennings leads the league in receiving yards with 373 and should keep his lead this week.
- Antonio Gates @ OAK- Oakland has good safeties which makes Gates’ matchup harder. But on the other hand, with good CBs guarding the WRs, Gates may get more looks. In my opinion, Gates will have a lot of receptions for little yards and may score a short TD.
- Jason Witten vs. WAS- He is banged up but he is Romo’s checkdown guy and is a reliable fantasy TE every week.
- Kellen Winslow @ CIN- Benga ls defense is atrocious. Winslow should be a big checkdown option here as the Bengals safeties stink and the corners may give Edwards and the other WRs harder matchups then Winslow will have.
- Tony Scheffler @ KC- He may not have a great week this week as Cutler will look more for his WR and KC does decently against the TE this year.
- Tony Gonzalez vs. DEN- This may be a good matchup for Gonzalez. Denver has a great offense but not so great defense and the tight end may be their biggest weakness as their LBs and Safeties aren’t anything to lose sleep over.
