If there’s one thing to say about the new bundt cake bakery, Nothing Bundt Cakes, it is that it’s nothing bundt delicious! This cute and unique franchise just recently opened a new location in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. They have over 400 bakeries across the U.S., and the crowds don’t lie! Best known for their moist, flavorful, and charming bundt cakes and atmosphere, Nothing Bundt Cakes is taking the community’s hearts and stomachs by storm.

When I walked into Nothing Bundt cakes, I was immediately greeted by the smell of baked goods, and their cheery yellow walls. The decorations inside perfectly matched the aesthetic of their bundt cakes. Nothing Bundt Cakes started 25 years ago by two women that lived in Las Vegas. “One had a cake recipe, one had a frosting recipe and now they have over 400 stores,” one of the Cherry Hill locations’ managers, Jessica Boese said.
Because Nothing Bundt Cakes is a chain, the yellow painted walls are required in each store, but owners let their creativity shine throughout the rest of the store since they can decorate however they want. “One of my favorite things about owning Nothing Bundt Cakes is finding cute decor that just ties the whole space together,” said Boese.

Their sizes range from bite sized “bundtinis”, to “bundlets” that typically serve one to two people, to the classic bundt cake sizes which are eight or 10 inches. Nothing Bundt Cakes also offers tiered cake options which consist of an eight inch bundt cake on top of a 10 inch bundt cake. Along with their various different size options, they also always have 10 mouth-watering flavors, including one gluten free option, and their one additional seasonal flavor. For example, this fall they are doing a pumpkin spice flavor which is a fun twist on the popular pumpkin spice latte. Despite their many flavor options, they only carry one flavor of frosting — cream cheese frosting. I will admit, I was a little skeptical when Boese told me this, but not anymore. Since they only stick to one flavor, they have absolutely nailed the recipe. It not only pairs with all 11 of their cake flavors, but it is delicious on it’s own!
I got the opportunity to try three of their most popular flavors: chocolate chocolate chip, lemon, and red velvet. Boese was not lying when she said “the first word that comes to anyone’s mind when they try our cakes is moist.” I love anything chocolate, so it wasn’t a surprise to me that chocolate chocolate chip was my favorite, along with it being their most popular flavor in all of their locations. Boese also let me know that part of the reason they only carry bundt cakes is because of the way that the cake is shaped. Bundt cakes have a hole in the middle which allows the oven to cook it perfectly, creating that decadent yet airy texture that has people traveling near and far to try them.

I left with a smile on my face and my stomach full, as my experience there was nothing but pleasant. Not only was the cake delicious, but the atmosphere and ambience of the whole store made it seem like a small “hole in the wall” bakery. I highly recommend stopping by Nothing Bundt Cakes if you ever have a birthday party, special occasion, or just need an excuse to eat delicious bundt cake!
