I don’t know how to put this, but Cherry Hill East’s Movie Night was kind of a big deal.
At twilight Saturday night on the school’s football field, a crowd of about 130 students gathered to watch Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The event, sponsored by the Class of 2013’s student government, is hoped to have kickstarted an annual fundraising event.
“It’s the first school event of the year, and it’s something new, so I hope it’ll turn into a tradition for years to come,” said class representative Darsha Mistry (’13).
The movie had everybody in attendance laughing all night long as they bundled up in hoodies, sweatpants and multiple blankets to combat the first truly chilly night of the year.
“Even though it was pretty cold outside, it was a lot of fun and I’d definitely come if we did this again,” said Jordan Coleman (’13).
