This past week of Phillies baseball proved why the unexpected should always be expected in sports.
The week started with a ton of controversy surrounding who will make the cut to be in the Phils starting rotation come playoff time. After J.A. Happ missed his previous start, he had to be taken out of Friday night’s game because of an oblique injury.
The next night, Pedro Martinez made an early exit after claiming he strained his neck while batting. Although these injuries may appear to be minor, every aspect of every situation must be taken into account while choosing the final playoff roster.
