QB
Jay Cutler vs. JAC- The Jags have been bad against the pass this year and Denver has been great. Rashean Mathis has been solid which will be a good matchup against Brandon Marshall but Brandon Stokley should have a huge day for Denver with Eddie Royal banged up.
Aaron Rodgers @ SEA- Remember what the Giants did to Seattle last week? Expect Green Bay to have success but not as much as the Giants had last week.
Phillip Rivers vs. NE- Rivers has been solid lately and New England ’s defense has been bad lately. With that said, Behlichick always finds ways to disrupt teams so don’t be surprised if NE has a plan. Rivers should be solid and is a must start every week.
Tony Romo @ ARI- This should be a high scoring affair which Romo will benefit from. Romo should have a great day through the air in what should be a very exciting game.
Drew Brees vs. OAK- Minnesota did a great job shutting down Brees last week after the opening drive. Oakland has a talented secondary that hasn’t played up to par. There’s a chance that Colston may play but it is unlikely. Brees should be solid this week.
RB
LaDainian Tomlinson vs. NE- LT didn’t do great last week against Miami but that was a top 10 run defense. New England hasn’t been themselves, and LT should score a TD or 2 against a weaker NE defense.
Adrian Peterson vs. DET- This should be a field day for Peterson. Detroit is awful and Peterson runs over most teams with ease. Peterson will have the best day of all fantasy running backs in a very offensive game for Minnesota .
Michael Turner vs. CHI- Chicago is a good run defense but Turner has been phenomenal thus far. Turner should be a key factor in what should be a close game between 2 even teams.
Joseph Addai vs. BAL- This is a bad matchup for Addai as the Ravens are a top 3 overall defense this year. They have been great shutting down RBs and Indy is not the team they used to be. Don’t expect yards from Addai but a TD isn’t out of the question since they will be in the red zone with their air attack a few times.
Steven Jackson @ WAS- This is a bad matchup for Jackson . Redskins are great and the whole Rams team is drowned with uncertainty. With that said, they have a new coach and Bulger is returning and after a bye week they may have found a way to turn it around.
WR
Larry Fitzgerald vs. DAL- With Boldin’s injury, Arizona will need Fitzgerald a lot. This will be a high scoring game and Fitzgerald will be a key factor in whether Arizona can pull off the victory.
Greg Jennings @ SEA- Although Marcus Trufant will cover him, Jennings will grab a bunch of passes as GB will pass it a lot against this anemic secondary. Jennings leads the league in receiving yards with 569 and should keep that title this week as the second closest WR (Larry Fitzgerald with 467 yards) will not be 102 yards better.
Terrell Owens @ ARI- What a clinic this will be with Fitzgerald vs. Owens. Owens will have a great day against a weaker Arizona secondary, in an high-scoring affair.
Reggie Wayne vs. BAL- Unlike the rest of the Colts team, Wayne has been very reliable and solid fantasy wise. Wayne should have a good day against an aging Ravens secondary and may find the end zone for a TD or 3?
Brandon Marshall vs. JAC- Marshall is easily Cutler’s favorite target but his matchup is against Rashean Mathis. Mathis has not let WRs get a lot of production against him, which could spell trouble for Marshall this week.
TE
Jason Witten @ ARI- Witten should see some decent numbers in a game that will score a lot of points. Arizona ’s safeties and LBs are decent though, so he may have some trouble breaking free.
Antonio Gates vs. NE- Gates should have a good day against an aging NE secondary, and should find the end zone on National TV.
Chris Cooley vs. STL- Seriously, who’s guarding him? He should have a field day against a horrendous secondary.
Dallas Clark vs. BAL- He should do fine against Baltimore, but don’t expect miracles. Wayne and Gonzalez will be performing them instead.
Owen Daniels vs. MIA- Daniels may see some looks as Houston will throw a decent amount since it will be hard to run on Miami .
QB- Eli Manning @ CLE- Manning obliterated the Seattle defense last week. Now against an even worser secondary in Cleveland and with the return of Plaxico Burress, one must wonder if they can score 70 points this week.
RB- Clinton Portis vs. STL- Portis has been exceptional lately and St. Louis has been awful. That should mean a good matchup for Portis.
WR- Andre Johnson vs. MIA- Hey all doubters, he’s back. Andre will start to pick it up. Miami ’s secondary is not their strength and Johnson can beat defenses. Look for him to produce this week.
TE- Greg Olsen @ ATL- Olsen has been getting more looks lately and Atlanta ’s secondary isn’t too scary. Olsen should produce this week.
BUST PICKS
QB- Marc Bulger @ WAS- This can’t be good for Bulger. Washington has been playing great. Don’t expect much this week from him.
RB- Ryan Grant @ SEA- Grant has been bad this year and Seattle hasn’t been awful against the run. Besides, Green Bay will throw it more anyway and get ahead.
WR- Braylon Edwards vs. NYG- This is bad for Edwards. Giants have been great all-around and Anderson-Edwards have not been. That means bad for Edwards this week.
TE- Vernon Davis vs. PHI- Philly’s secondary has been good, and Davis hasn’t been. Not a good matchup for Davis.
