East lacrosse player Gavin Poulshock commits to Lynn University
Gavin Poulshock (‘22) has committed to Lynn University pursuing his lacrosse and academic careers.
Poulshock started playing lacrosse in the fourth grade, “I started playing in the backyard with my sister who played lacrosse,” Poulshock said.
Poulshock’s sister inspired Poulshock to become the lacrosse player he is today.
Poulshock didn’t play for a club team, so Cherry Hill High School East was really his only access to the sport he loved. His commitment process was different than others because he only played for East and missed his sophomore season.
Poulshock said,“A former assistant coach of East was a Lynn lacrosse alumni and reached out to their coaching for me.”
Poulshock will continue playing for East this upcoming spring if he recovers from his surgery that he recently had on his shoulder. His shoulder should recover by April, so he is hoping he is able to play and succeed for his final lacrosse season.
Poulshock is not just continuing his athletic career, but also his academic one. He will be majoring in biology and he is on the pre-med track.
Poulshock is looking forward to playing in a highly competitive atmosphere at Lynn University. He is excited to be in such an amazing conference and to have the ability to compete for a national championship.
