On Tuesday, January 12. 2011, the Cherry Hill East Girls’ Varsity Basketball advanced to third overall in the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Rally South Jersey rankings. With an 8-0 record to start the season and multiple convincing wins of 20+ points, the Cougars definitely deserve this honor. Led by strong starts from Marie Boisvert (’11), Darby Festa (’13) and Brittany Muniz (’11), the girls have set themselves up for early season Conference Championship contention. The Cougars can extend their season-opening winning streak to 9 games tonight with a win at Olympic Conference foe Washington Township.
