On Friday, January 7, East’s Boys’ Wrestling Team had their Region 7/8 matches against Cherry Hill West. Although West came out on top with a score of 40-32, as East’s wrestling coach Coach Brown said, “It was an intense battle all the way.” Brian Lussier (’11) and Carmen Ditore (’12) managed big wins for East with outstanding pins. The cougars clearly did not go down without a fight. The team will next face the Lenape Indians, a highly ranked team in South Jersey this year, on January 12.

Off the mats, East’s wrestling team has made headways with charity this December. They raised $2,700 and used the money to buy toys to donate to Camden Rescue Mission, making many impoverished children happy on Christmas.
