The “Drama Queens” take fans back to Tree Hill
“Always and forever.” This is one of the most iconic lines from the hit 2003 teen drama, One Tree Hill. This is also the connection that the cast and fans alike feel with the show, which came to a close in 2012. The stars of the show have now returned to their roots in Tree Hill to carry out its legacy.
One Tree Hill, starring Bethany Joy Lenz as Haley, Sophia Bush as Brooke, Hilarie Burton Morgan as Peyton, Chad Michael Murray as Lucas, and James Lafferty as Nathan, ran for nine seasons on the CW, and it has truly had a lasting impact on its viewers.
Following a group of friends in the fictional town of Tree Hill, North Carolina, the drama created a special magic for the audience. Covering the highs and lows of high school, as well as the changes from teenage years to adulthood, the show created the perfect sense of sentimentality. The live shows were somewhat like watching them record a podcast live, with the amusing addition of interaction with the audience.
Additionally, each show had a special guest star, another actor who had been a part of One Tree Hill. The guest stars included Tyler Hilton and Robert Buckley in Boston; Matt Barr, Tyler Hilton, Barbara Alyn Woods, and Daphne Zuniga in New York City; Antwon Tanner and Lee Norris in Washington D.C.; and Torrey DeVitto and Paul Johansson in Philadelphia. Additionally, the musical guest, Switchfoot, joined the group at the Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia shows. The band are the singers of the song “Dare You to Move,” which is played during one of the early iconic moments of the TV show.
