Ashley Lewis received her early dance training at Lowe Dance Studio in Voorhees, New Jersey, where she studied multiple genres until the age of fifteen, when she joined the School of Philadelphia Ballet. She has also participated in summer intensives at both the School of Philadelphia Ballet and the Kirov Academy. Among her numerous achievements, Ashley was awarded the Ballet in the City African American Scholarship and performed in the 2019 Ashley Boulder Project with Ballet in the City. She joined Philadelphia Ballet II for the 2021/2022 season, was promoted to apprentice for the 2022/2023 season, and was most recently promoted to the corps de ballet for the 2024/2025 season.

Alexis is a junior and a Community Editor for Eastside. At East, Alexis plays in the orchestra and participates in Amnesty International, Habitat for Humanity, Interact, and JSU. Outside of East, she enjoys dancing at Lowe Dance Studio, playing the violin, volunteering in the community, and hanging out with friends and family on the weekends.
