In the summer of 2010, Garrett Clayman (’13) met Ke$ha, a renowned international pop star. To this very day, Clayman recalls this moment, proud of the fact that she told him that “[she] loved [him] and that [he] was really cute.” With the same adrenaline pumping through Clayman’s veins as on that fateful day in August 2010, Mr. Fifty Shades of Clay plans to take the stage of Mr. East by storm.
Mr. Fifty Shades of Clay, an avid member of activities such as SGA, the swim team, and DECA, chose to compete in Mr. East because he knows that he is the best that there is to offer. He believes that “no one is better than [him]… [He] is in it to win it.”
Despite being a high school student at the moment, Mr. Fifty Shades of Clay has big plans for the future. “I either want to be the star of a reality show, a marketing executive, or both,” he explained. “The reality show would be called ‘The Firm,’ featuring product placement and drama behind the scenes… everyone would want to use us.”
When asked why he wants to win Mr. East, he took a second to ponder. Finally, he got it.
“I have seen the competition and there is no one who is really as good as me.” No doubt an intriguing participant in this year’s Mr. East competition, Mr. Fifty Shades of Clay will be a truly hard act to follow.
