Cherry Hill East is not only lending a helping hand in the the community, but to the world! Habitat for Humanity is a club at East that acts to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness worldwide. Every year Habitat for Hummanity has a Spring Break trip that helps build houses and communities to people who do not have. This Spring Break, the trip will take place in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. On Wednesday, October 20, there was a meeting in the auditorium to introduce the officers of Habitat for Hummanity at East and to discuss the goals and future of the club. It was lead by the advisor of the club Mrs. Rion, President Brian Cohn (’11), and the several other officers. The meeting was intended for both students and their parents to learn more about Habitat and their annual Spring Break trip. During the meeting they showed last year’s Spring Break trip to the students and parents who attended. Along with the week-long trip in the spring, Habitat for Humanity offers many “day builds” throughout the year that students can sign up for if they want to be involved with the club.
