Today September 22, the Filipino Culture Society had its first meeting of the year in the East library.  About twenty students met after school to plan future events for the club.

During this first meeting, Monica Valdez (’11), one of the founders of the club, appointed officer positions and planned out activities for the next meeting on October 6. Participators attending the next meeting can expect fun activities such as (but not limited to) watching a Filipino film or line-dancing, as well as eating authentic food courtesy of the local Filipino store, Tropical Hut.
