The Future Doctors of America Club (FDA) held a bake sale Wednesday, December 8, directly after school, across from the auditorium.
Four members of the club were selling various donuts and cookies to hungry students passing by on their way out of school. The club has bake sales once a month to raise money for field trips, t-shirts and other club activities. The proceeds of this specific bake sale will go to funding a field trip to Cooper Hospital in January, where the club will take a tour and learn about their future careers.
FDA meets about twice a month and meetings are always fun and interesting.
“We usually do a hands on activity involving medicine or listen to a guest speaker,” said club president Vivian Qin (’11).
At the next meeting, members of FDA will hear Dr. Back speak, and will learn about his job as a plastic surgeon.
