From December 16, 2012 to January 31, 2013 the Art of Cherry Hill East students will be shown at the Cherry Hill Library.
The exhibit is two parts. The showcase in the upstairs reading room highlights memory boxes that the students created out of cigar boxes. They are under glass and lights, open for the public to see.
The second part of the exhibit is downstairs. It highlights acrylic paintings. The students were able to create “whatever inspired them. There is no theme to the exhibit,” said Mrs. Calnon-Buote, the art teacher who called the library to organize the exhibit. The students who participated in the event were of all levels. Any student could submit pieces to the show, but the show mainly exhibits art from Advanced Foundation of Art students and AP Studio Art students.
The students who participated in the show are:
Samantha Aronson Julie Benbassat
Maya Bulter Krystle Carkeek
Paula Chung Julia Dintino
Zoe Greenhall Lucy He
Erika Kalnowski Alle Kassan
Griffen Hogrogean Courtney Ma
Carmen Montaluo Maura Roncase
