Today, October 4, after school, the Art Club met in F087.
To begin the meeting, Gaby Rochino (’12) demonstrated how to make an origami paper crane, and club members each created their own crane. Then, several students chose to help prepare for next week’s project by cutting magazine pages into strips. Others worked on origami independently or with the help of Rochino. Some origami figures created include the kimono heart, swan and eight-pointed star.
“[Doing origami] was really fun,” said Sreya Das (’15). She was especially pleased with her origami pig.
Art Club will meet again next Tuesday afternoon. The club is also planning a bake sale on October 25 to raise funds to purchase art supplies.
