Water slide of doom to be created in Kansas City
November 22, 2013
Imagine sliding down something taller than Niagara Falls, taller than the Statue of Liberty and twice the height of the tallest wave ever surfed! As if water slides weren’t scary enough, the tallest and fastest water slide in the world is currently under construction.
The slide will be located in Kansas City where residents hope to attract more tourists and thrill seekers to enjoy this iconic ride. The photo of the water slide under construction has gone viral and appears to be a ninety degree angle drop, having viewers gawking in fear.
It is an approximately a seventeen story drop that is said to have people reaching roughly sixty five miles per hour faster than the imposed speed limit on Kansas City drivers. The ride also consists of climbing over two hundred fifty steps, so riders will get quite a workout before filling their “raft from hell” with four other thrill seekers before being shot across the slide course.
The name of the water slide is “The Verruckt Meg-A-Blaster”, with the name Verruckt coming from the German word meaning “insane.” This name suits the water slide perfectly because anyone who dares to go down the water slide is suffering from insanity. The ride is reported to break shattering records set by another water slide in Brazil.
