The Fault in Our Stars turned from book to movie
October 10, 2013
The Fault in Our Stars movie, based on one of The New York Times’ best-selling novel The Fault in Our Stars written by John Green, is set to come out in 2014, the specific date yet to be released. The starring characters are Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters, who will be played by Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort respectively. The two have previously co-starred in the movie Divergent. Also, Green himself has a cameo in the movie.
The plot centers on the tragic love story of two teenagers who were both diagnosed with cancer and meet while participating in a local Support Group. Their friendship quickly evolves, and the two basically become inseparable. Josh Boone directed the movie, and Scott Neustadter wrote the screenplay. Surprisingly, the theme from the book is kept the same throughout the movie, and many of the scenes have been filmed true to the book, a relief for all hardcore fans who would to see their favorite book disagree with the original story.
