Looking for a great opportunity to do community service that is both beneficial and a good time? On October 3 and 4, join the Ms 150 Jersey Shore bike event, described by Bicycling Magazine as “the best cycling getaway in New Jersey.”
The MS 150 Jersey Shore bike event is run by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society greater Delaware chapter and sponsored by PA Dutch ad City to Shore. Over 7,000 cyclists of all ages bike 75-100 miles to create a world free of MS. The National MS Society collects donations from events such as the M.S 150 bike event in order to fuel medical research and to provide services such as: specialized MS clinics, education and information, emergency financial assistance, medical supplies and home care.
Bikers who take part in the event travel through the blueberry fields of Hammonton, New Jersey, to the South Jersey Pine Barrens and finally, to Ocean City, New Jersey. The bike ride includes catered rest stops, bike support and SAG transportation. Also, there are bike mechanics at each rest stop.
To enter next year’s event, one must collect a total of 300 dollars in donations for the National MS Society. The bike event not only benefits those with M.S but is a life lasting experience. Next year, join over thousands of riders to become a part of the ride that is moving towards a world free of M.S.
