Johson’s Corner Farm offers family fun

Johnson’s Farm has many pumpkins to pick from before Autumn ends.

Cherry Hill Township gives access to numerous farms nearby, which get many visitors during the fall season. One being Johnson’s Corner Farm. Johnson’s Corner Farm (Johnson’s Farm) is located in Medford, New Jersey. Like most farms they offer pumpkin picking, apple picking, hayrides and other kid-friendly activities such as feeding the animals. Unlike some other farms you may know, Johnson’s Farm can constantly be seen crowded by families throughout the spring, summer, fall, and holiday seasons. Some may say it’s one of the more popular local farms, and I can definitely see why.

It’s a perfect place to visit, especially in the fall. From September 10th through October 31st Johnson’s Farm provides daily hayrides to the fields and orchards, and each weekend through October, Harvest Festivals are set up with pumpkin picking, live music, delicious food, gem mining, corn mazes, and walks through the sunflower field. However, the autumn fun doesn’t just stop after October 31st. From November 1st through November 20th Johnson’s Farm allows guests to explore the fields and pick harvest crops such as broccoli, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, and popping corn.

Once you arrive to the farm you’ll most likely smell the the fresh-baked goods coming out of the Farmhouse oven. My personal favorite is the apple cider donut, but if that’s not exactly your cup of tea, do not worry. Plenty of other treats are available including cookies, scones, pies, and muffins. If you are in the mood for something more savory the Farmhouse can also whip up a sandwich, salad, or a kids meal.

When you’re done eating you can walk few yards over to feed the animals. They give you dried corn to slide down chutes in the animal pens. Johnson’s Farm houses goats, chickens, geese, cows, sheep, and donkey’s, all of which are adorable. Almost every farm animal loves to be fed, especially the goats. Some flock to the chutes for food while others are busy sleeping or playing with one another. It’s a perfect activity that excites children, adults, and overall animal lovers. Not far from the animal farm are the fields and orchards that can be seen sprouting different colors each season. With a short hayride you’re able explore the many crops of the season, and even take home the ones you’ve picked.

Just when you thought the day was over, Johnson’s Farm has what they call their Discovery Barnyard. It’s an area near the Farmhouse with playgrounds and go-cart tracks to ensure that every child has an enjoyable time.

Because autumn is coming to an end, Johnson’s Farm has begun setting up their bright lights for the holiday season. From as early as November 25th to December 23rd you can attend the light show hayride along with bonfire activities and cookie decorating.

Johnson’s Farm hopes to bring together family and friends for fun and festive activities outdoors, no matter the season, which definitely makes it a must visit location near us.
