Amici Restaurant plates authentic Italian cuisine
October 21, 2014
Weekends are the best time to hang out with friends, to take a break from school work and to try out new restaurants.
This weekend I got the opportunity to try out Amici’s Restaurant located on Kresson Road. Overall, the service was great, the food was delicious and my family and I left with smiles on our faces. I ordered chicken parmigiana, and it was absolutely amazing. While most restaurants have certain dishes that aren’t too good, I found that at Amici’s, food never failed to be spectacular.
The chicken and veal parmigiana are truly out of this world, but if you want to go for something a little lighter, I recommend the veal blanco, which is veal with melted mozzarella cheese on top and is doused in an exquisite champagne sauce.
The restaurant also has a variety of appetizers to choose from including appetizer and entree portioned salads such as caesar, spinach and arugula, rucola and the Italian landmark, the caprese salad.
If dinner wasn’t satisfying enough, the restaurant has a dessert menu to look forward to at the end of the meal. For all those chocolate lovers out there, the Dark Side of the Moon is right up your alley. It is a chocolate cake layered with chocolate mousse and topped with a chocolate ganache. Personally, I prefer the traditional and authentic route which would be the cannoli, a crisp shell stuffed with a creamy ricotta filling laced with mini chocolate chips, is the perfect dessert for me. Amici’s Restaurant has now become a weekend must for me and my family. If you are ever looking for an amazing Italian dinner, Amici’s offers authenticity and rave-worthy flavors.
