Pansexual

Another group included within the “+” symbol is that of pansexual people. “Pansexual” is a sexuality that generally involves attraction to people of all genders, or attraction regardless of gender. This may sound similar to bisexuality, but there can be important distinctions; while bisexual people consider gender in who they find attractive (doing so for two or more gender identities,) pansexual people typically do not, and may consider themselves “gender-blind.”

The roots of the word “pansexual” can be traced back to Greek language, in which “pan-” is a prefix meaning “all.” As such, many pansexual people use the term to indicate that they can be attracted to people of all gender identities.
