One of my favorite things to do to celebrate the winter holidays is to bake for my family and friends! I was so excited when I saw Eastside was hosting the baking competition for holiday themed desserts. I decided to test out a design on a cookie cake that I’ve never tried before. I made a menorah out of cookie dough and put that on the cookie cake. It came out just as I expected and I love how it looks. Hanukkah is my favorite holiday and I love celebrating with my family. I love the food (and of course, the presents!) and spending time lighting the menorah and participating in other Hanukkah traditions with my family. My family always makes latkes (potato pancakes) one of the nights of Hanukkah and I enjoy baking something to go along with our Hannukah themed meal. We all loved my cookie cake and how it made it feel so much like the holiday even though so much is different right now with COVID-19. I had so much fun designing and baking this cookie cake and it turned out great!
