“1. I often have issues with artist’s block. It’s not uncommon that I’ll sit down in front of my watercolors, washi tape, paper, water, all laid out, and not know what to do. However, my friends give me inspiration. Not just for art, but in all areas of my life. Here, I think back to that instant. That point in time where you’re connected to another person, through a hug. It feels warm and safe. It’s not a very complex piece whatsoever, just a simple representation of how I feel when my friends give me a hug.”

“2. I was so excited when we had snow this year! My friends and I immediately made plans to go outside to play. But after we exhausted ourselves out, we laid down on the snow. White, pure, unsullied, the snow caressed our tired bodies. We look up into the sky. An overcast sky, promising more snowflakes. We look to each other. A friend.”
