Elyse Mitchell (2003)

Elyse Mitchell was inducted for her skill in volleyball at east in 2003. She was very committed to athletics because she dedicated much of her time to them and wanted to keep improving and learning new things. Sports were more of an education than school was because of all the life lessons they taught her. She said, “Athletics was my survival and my identity and has created all of the life lessons I live by.” Without sports, Elyse would not be the same person she is today. She committed herself to Volleyball for four years, and it became her everything.  She was very honored to be given a spot in the hall of fame because she finally got a reward for all her dedication to volleyball.
