Richter speaks during her Hall of Fame induction.

Cathy Richter (2003)

Cathy Richter was honored in the hall of fame for Tennis and Softball in 2003. She was stoked to be able to come back to Cherry Hill, accept the award for her talent, and bring her kids to see where she grew up. She gave her parents a special shout out because they supported her. Cathy is still a big athlete today and keeps the love of sports alive in her household with her husband because they both have competitive personalities. Sports have always been there for her and have become her everything. She says, “sports have been there through the best of times, and when things got hard, they’ve always been something that I could pour myself into and make it through.” Sports gave her a sense of belonging, and she believes that they are something everyone could use in their lives. They largely influenced her personality for the better will always love sports with all her heart.
