Members of the Cherry Hill community gathered on the East football field to for the grand opening of the new stadium.
On Monday afternoon, a large group of Cherry Hill community members and Cherry Hill Board of Education members welcomed in a new era for Cherry Hill High School East. The grand opening of the Cherry Hill East Stadium took place. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held before the Cougar boys lacrosse game. Ivanka Olearchyk (‘25) and Nick Longo (‘24) held the ribbon while Crimson the Cougar, came in with the scissors and officially opened the field. The new field is equipped with a press box, a larger bleacher section, and most importantly, lights.
The stadium was welcomed in with both the boys and girls lacrosse teams seeing action on the field. The girls team fell to Lenape 14-4 while the boys team took down West Deptford by a final score of 10-8.
