The East Field Hockey team faced the number one team in South Jersey, Eastern High School, on October 29. Though both the varsity and junior varsity teams lost to Eastern, the freshman team tied in a game without any goals, a major accomplishment against such a highly ranked team.

Despite major losses for East, the girls are still proud of their performance.

“We tried our hardest,” said Molly Birnbaum (’10). “They’re just a really good team and they’re really hard to beat since they’re number one.

East still hopes to end the 2008 season on a high note.
