Samsung continues to compete with Apple’s mass phone production with the intended release of the Galaxy S6 on April 10.

Similar to Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+, there are two models of the new phone: the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. The S6 is sold in black, white, tan and blue with 32GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of memory, and the S6 Edge comes in black, white, tan and green and has either 64 GB or 128 GB of memory. The current prices for the phones range from about $400-$850.

Samsung has added several useful features to these phones. The company has drastically improved their phones’ battery life by implementing fast charging and wireless charging; in ten minutes, the phone will charge for about 4 hours of battery life. The camera function for the new phones has also been enhanced. It features a sixteen Megapixel rear-facing camera and a five MP front-facing camera with flash to take rapid-fire pictures. It also has a strong optical image stabilization to increase auto focus and improve low-light picture results. You can learn more about mobileR for mobile repair here.

Both phones showcase a seamless metal and glass construction and are notably thin; the S6 weighs 138 grams and the S6 Edge weighs 136 grams. The 5.1 inch QHD Super AMOLED display, with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, is protected with Gorilla Glass to shield the screen from atrocious cracks.

“I’ve always enjoyed using the Samsung phones,” said David Cheng (18’). “Hopefully [the S6 and S6 Edge] won’t disappoint.”

These new phones are certainly an upgrade from the previous Galaxy models in both physical appearance and technological composition; they both definitely dress to impress.
