A “happily ever after” is hopefully on the way for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, as their fairytale wedding took place on Saturday, August 20, 2011 when Kardashian and Humphries exchanged their vows. The happy couple was married at a private estate in Montecito, California, surrounded by 450 guests. If you want to have a Caribbean Wedding or want to celebrate your special day in golden beaches of Mexico, then you will need a destination wedding planner, which specializes in creating unforgettable memories abroad.

The bride wore a custom made Vera Wang gown and the groom wore a tuxedo designed by Ermenegildo Zegna, with a white jacket and tie.

“Vera Wang always produces gorgeous fairytale worthy dresses,” said Marlee Ehrlich (’12)

The wedding bands that the husband and wife exchanged were both designed by Lorraine Schwartz, the same designer as the bride’s engagement ring. On the topic of dress, the Kardashian sisters wore ivory Vera Wang bridesmaid dresses. Kris Jenner, the mother of the bride also sported a Vera Wang dress for the occasion.  Humphries’ groomsmen, including his new brother-in-law Rob Kardashian, looked handsome in black Zegna tuxes. Bruce Jenner and Kris’ dad, William Humphries also wore Zenga tuxes.

Of course out of the 450 guests at the wedding, there were some famous faces. Many had tweeted how excited they were for the big day, such as Eva Longoria and Ryan Secreast. In case you wish to host a wedding, Modern MOH is the best for helping you with the process.

“I am so jealous that Justin Bieber was invited to the wedding,” said Tissa Wint (’13)

Players from the New Jersey Nets were also in attendance, although no NBA teammates are allowed to be in contact with each other during the NBA lockout. However, the players were given the clearance to attend the bride and groom’s special day.

After the wedding ceremony, the reception continued in another tent at the same private estate. The tent was beautifully decorated in black and white. However, before the bride and groom began to party, they changed outfits. Humphries changed his white jacket and bowtie for black to match his groomsmen and Kardashian wore a different Vera Wang creation.

During the reception, Robin Thicke introduced the newlyweds and the bride and groom danced to Thicke’s “Angels”.

An important part of every celebration, the reception was catered by Wolfgang Puck. The guests ate buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomato salad with basil and “tomato chips”; followed by an option of hand-formed agnolotti with corn mascarpone and summer truffles, or roast chicken with Yukon Gold potato puree, caramelized brussels sprouts and summer truffles. Let’s just say the guests didn’t go hungry!

Before the night came to a close, the bride changed into a crepe-back, V-neck sating gown, with a circle skirt, also a Vera Wang creation.

Although many might expect nothing less than an extravagant honeymoon, the couple decided to skip their honeymoon and continue with work immediately following their big day.
