Jordan Grossman (’21) is very excited for the 2021 Mr. East competition.

Jordan Grossman

Between soccer, winter and spring track and SGA senior class president, it only seemed right that contestant Jordan Grossman (‘21), also known as Mr. Gettin it Done, chased after the chance to win the title of Mr. East; you could even say it is a dream come true for him. As many of you may know, Grossman has no doubt shown his investment and love within our school, so, it is no surprise that he will put his heart and soul into Mr. East.
With the way the previous year has unraveled due to COVID-19, Grossman took the opportunity to make the most of his atypical yet magical senior year.
“If I don’t [participate] in Mr. East, I’d spend a long time wondering what it would have been like,” said Grossman.
Grossman plans to rock the stage with his performance of “Good Morning Baltimore” from the famous movie of Hairspray. Although you may be wondering how Hairspray connects with Disney, just consider the musical aspects of each one.
“It represents me because in Hairspray, she makes Baltimore seem so great even though it is not all that great,” explained Grossman, “With COVID-19 you need to be able to make the most of your situation, no matter what is thrown your way.”
Even though this act does not seem too complicated, it is the heart and spirit that Grossman sprinkles through it that leaves room for creativity.
Considering the abnormal year we have all experienced, Grossman hopes to bring back some fun and excitement to remind people of the love and spirit we hold for East. He hopes to do this through his hard work and preparation for the competition.
