When I think of the holidays, I envision sitting by a crackling fire—enjoying a cup of piping-hot hot chocolate with sugar cookies. When I think of wintertime, I picture being surrounded by friends and family in the snow—ready to build snowmen. Now, a concoction of these two cherished moments would make for the perfect holiday treat: snowmen sugar cookies.

For these cookies, I used a classic sugar cookie recipe with flour, butter, sugar, and a few other simple ingredients. Then, once I baked and cut them all into circle shapes, I took my white royal icing and dripped it over the cookie, piped orange icing as buttons, added a marshmallow as a head, black icing as the sticks, eyes, and mouth, and finally a sprinkle as its nose to top it all off.

Overall, I would highly recommend making these cookies. For someone who made it for the first time, I found it fairly easy to make, and the result was adorable. As I was putting it together, it felt just like building a snowman!
