Rockhill serves exceptional meals to its customers

December 22, 2014

Rockhill, a brand new restaurant, has recently opened its doors on Route 70, replacing the forty year old Big John’s restaurant. In the short duration in which it has been open, Rockhill has already had an overfilling dining room. Upon visiting, customers feel right at home; this serves as one of the several reasons for the restaurant’s success.

Once walking inside, the patron will find a large dining area, which has a casual and relaxed environment.  With its modern edge, patrons can appreciate the restaurant’s layout and meals for a satisfying experience. Also, there are televisions scattered throughout the restaurant to incorporate the ambiance of that of a sports bar for all patrons to watch any sporting happening at the time.

The menu consists of many intriguing options that include cheesesteaks, burgers, pizza, salads and more.

For my meal, I ordered the Montreal cheesesteak, which had waffle fries and gravy piled on a classic cheesesteak, and it stimulated my taste buds. In addition, other foods that I tasted were the buffalo wings, the cheesesteak stromboli, which is beef paired with three different cheeses and pepperoni and the pizza cheesesteak. As an added bonus, if the patron likes Rockhill’s page on Facebook, the customer will receive free tater tots as an incentive.

The food’s taste matched its presentation, which was incredible. The employees had a positive attitude, which made the environment even more welcoming. Rockhill’s exceptional service delivered the meal in a timely manner and returned to the table often to refill drinks and verify that the food met, if not exceeded, Rockhill’s standards.

“The food is awesome and business has been incredible!” said Kyle Ungerleider (’16), a Cherry Hill East student who also works as a cashier at the restaurant.

Over the course of the meal, many more hungry customers arrived at the restaurant and were able to share a similar experience, such as the one I had. The environment, food and service exceeded my standards. The menu offered something for everybody, regardless of dietary restrictions, including a daily grain salad, which has quinoa, farro, berries and fresh seasonal vegetables, or a black bean burger for the Rockhill vegetarian customers. The restaurant also offered cheese-less pizza and stromboli, in addition to the burgers, sandwiches and finger foods.

Rockhill is open seven days a week and the restaurant provides a take-out option, as well as the dining in experience. Located at 1800 Route 70 East in Cherry Hill, this restaurant is sure to last. For more information, check out eatrockhill.com.
