The coronavirus is a pandemic that causes symptoms like the flu and has been the reason for thousands of deaths around the world and communities issuing “stay-at-home” orders. The virus spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads through the touching of a surface or object that has the virus on it before one touches their

eyes, nose, or mouth.

People who are diagnosed with the virus may experience symptoms such as a fever, cough, shortness of breath and tiredness. However, people who are

sick with the disease may be infected up to two weeks before showing symptoms, exacerbating how the virus is spread as people who don’t know they have it may continue on as normal. As the virus continues to spread, the rush for a treatment is on. There is currently no known vaccine to treat COVID-19 and advertising the best ways to prevent infection, like taking everyday preventive actions, avoiding close contact with people who are sick and washing hands often, have increased.

The virus has also been the source of major panic, as stores have shut down and the economy has suddenly collapsed. It has taken over around the world, becoming a classified pandemic.
