Phillies win in dramatic fashion

In one of the most exciting games in Phillies history, the Phils pulled through yet again, beating the Dodgers 5-4 in game 4 of the NLCS.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Jimmy Rollins stepped up to the plate, and had to face the Dodgers 6 foot 4, 290 pound closer Jonathan Broxton.

At one point in the ninth, Broxton threw a 101 mile an hour pitch.  In a true story of David vs. Goliath, Jimmy Rollins ( 5 foot 8, 170 pounds) hammered a 99 mph pitch from Broxton into the gap which scored Eric Bruntlett who was pinch running for Matt Stairs, and Carlos Ruiz who had been hit in the foot by a pitch to end the game.

With one more win the Phillies can close out the Dodgers and head to the World Series for the second consecutive year.  The Phillies will look for the 4-1 series win on Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park.
