Fantasy football column 12

QBKurt Warner vs. NYG- Giants are a stingy defense but Warner has so many weapons that he should be fine at home.

Drew Brees vs. GB- This should make for a high scoring game and Brees must step up if the Saints want to make a playoff run. He should have Bush now which should take pressure off of him.

Jay Cutler vs. OAK- Cutler destroyed this secondary last time and the Raiders seem to be getting worse every week. Cutler should have a field day.

Tony Romo vs. SF- San Fran gives up big plays and Romo makes them. On the downside, Romo has distractions with TO and his injury that could affect his performance.

Philip Rivers vs. IND- Indy has had no defense all year and Rivers has made the most of his mediocre targets. He will use LT a lot in this one.

Aaron Rodgers @ NO- Rodgers will throw it a lot in this potential shootout. New Orleans secondary is down Tracy Porter and Mike McKenzie making them very vulnerable.

Brett Favre @ TEN- Favre goes on the road to play the undefeated Titans. Favre is known to make a mistake or 2 in most games and the Titans lead the league in takeaways. Titans also have a lot of discipline and are at home which doesn¢t bode well for Favre.

Adrian Peterson @ JAC- Peterson had a down week last week but he will bounce back in a must win game against Jacksonville. Expect a good day out of him.

Clinton Portis @ SEA- Portis is still banged up and Seattle has a decent run defense so this will not be his best day but should still put up respectable numbers.

Brandon Jacobs @ ARI- Jacobs can run on anyone and Arizona is no exception. Don¢t expect anything different out of Jacobs this weekend.

Michael Turner vs. CAR- Turner had 56 yards the first time he played Carolina. Expect something in that area this week. I predict 75 yards.

LaDainian Tomlinson vs. IND- Slaton had 156 yards and a TD last week against this defense, why couldn¢t Tomlinson have 200 yards?

Matt Forte @ STL- Forte has played well all year and St. Louis isn¢t exactly a challenge to most running backs. He could score multiple times.

Brian Westbrook @ BAL- Hasn¢t practiced all week and goes up against the best run defense in the NFL. Plus McNabb has been poor leaving defenses to focus more on Westbrook.

Anquan Boldin vs. NYG- He is the red zone target and Boldin has played well. I think he can find the end zone against the formidable Giants defense.

Larry Fitzgerald vs. NYG- He gets the yards usually. He won¢t have a great day but could possibly find the end zone from the red zone.

Roddy White vs. CAR- White produces against the best defenses and he gets another shot at Carolina in Atlanta this time. White should do well here.

Calvin Johnson vs. TB- Might have a tough time against Ronde Barber and Culpepper is n¢t the most reliable QB. But he may have one big play that overshadows a rather cruddy performance overall.

Greg Jennings @ NO- NO down 2 top CB and Jennings has played well lately. He should find the end zone for a 2nd straight week.

Reggie Wayne @ SD- San Diego is a horrible pass defense and Wayne has had good stats lately. I like this matchup for Wayne this week.

Bernard Berrian @ JAC- Has to go against Rashean Mathis and Frerotte is turnover prone lately.

Tony Gonzalez vs. BUF- Bills have been slipping lately and Gonzalez has performed well since Thigpen has been starting. I don¢t see why he can’t score this week. Thigpen will look to him a lot since Bowe will see Terrence McGee all day.

Antonio Gates vs. IND- Indy is an awful defense and Gates is one of Rivers¢s top targets. He should do well in this game.

Jason Witten @ SF- Romo uses Witten a lot and SF gives up big plays so Witten should rack up plenty of yardage.

Dallas Clark @ SD- San Diego has a cruddy pass defense and Clark will be used since SD has no safeties to help out down under.

Kellen Winslow vs. HOU- Houston has an anemic secondary but Winslow is hurt so if he plays he will do well but check status before game time.

Tony Scheffler vs. OAK- Oakland had no answers week 1 and they have no answers in week 12.

Billy Miller vs. GB- Green Bay will make sure that he doesn’t get open too much. In order for GB to win they need to shut down Miller and the NO Rbs. I think Green Bay is able to in this one.
