After a successful tournament in South Carolina, the varsity baseball squad beat Buena today, 13-2 at Buena in six innings due to the ten-run mercy rule. Buena is currently ranked 20th in South Jersey according to the Courier Post and East is ranked 12th.

Today, Kurt Taylor (’12) pitched 5 innings and gave up only one run. Catcher Tyler Caton (’11) went 3-3 with 3 doubles, a walk and 3 RBI.  Sam Slutsky (’10) hit 3-5 with a grand slam, a double, a single and had 5 RBI.  Designated hitter Jeff Davis (’11) hit 2-3 and had 2 doubles.
