Athlete: Ross Silverberg (’09)
Sport: Boys Varsity Tennis
Accomplishment: This past weekend, Silverberg won the Camden County Tennis Tournament in dominating fashion. On Saturday, Silverberg had a first round bye in the 32 player tournament. In the second and third round of the tournament, Silverberg beat his opponents without losing one game, as he beat both by a score of 6-0,6-0. Then on Sunday in the semi- finals, Silverberg played two of his teammates en route to winning the tournament. In the semi- finals, Silverberg beat Mike Davis (’10) 6-0, 6-1 to advance to the finals where he met Nikhil Yegya- Raman (’10) 8-2 (pro set). In all, Silverberg won 44 out of a possible 47 games. His championship win also had special meaning as it was his 100th career varsity win in high school tennis.
