This week’s “Athlete Of The Week” goes to Dana Barth (’14).

Barth is a senior striker for the Girls Varsity Soccer team. She scored two goals against Cherokee on Wednesday and tallied a goal and an assist in the Lady Cougars win against Bishop Eustace on Thursday.

Dana’s outstanding effort in Thursday’s game contributed to the team’s overtime victory. She has been a constant force on the field for East Soccer.

The past week in Girls Varsity Soccer:

Mon 9/30 LOST 6-1 vs. top ranked Lenape. Emily Rimdzius (’15) had the teams only goal.

Wed 10/2 WIN 3-0 vs. Cherokee. Dana Barth (’14) scored two goals and Emily Rimdzius (’15) had the third assisted by McKenzie Miller (’14).

Thurs 10/3 WIN 3-2 OT vs. Bishop Eustace. Emily Rimdzius (’15) had one goal, Dana Barth (’14) had one goal and an assist for the game winning goal by senior McKenzie Miller (’14).

The Girls Varsity Team currently has a record of 5-3. The team’s three losses were against conference rivals Lenape, Eastern and Shawnee who are ranked first, second and third in South Jersey. However, the team plays each of these opponents again and looks to prevail with help from players such as “Athlete Of The Week” Dana Barth.
